Does turn on/off frequently will affect working life of infrared heat lamps?

(Summary description)When heating with infrared lamps, does turn on/off heating frequently will affect the working life of infrared heat lamps?
The answer is yes.
In circuit science, the moment the load is powered on, a large current is usually generated, which is the impact current. When starting infrared heating lamp, there is also a current impact. The start-up current is generally 4-7 times that of the rated current. If IR heat lamp is powered on and off frequently, the conductive element of the infrared heating tube will causes damage frequently, so we do not agree with the operation by turn on/off frequently our lamps.
Case 1: T-shirts thermal transfer equipment with 220V 1600W quartz infrared heeat lamp, basically needs to be switched on and off lamp one time every 10 seconds, the heating equipment work 24 hours every day, this customer will turn on and off lamps 360 times every hour and 8640 times every day, especially the heating equipment which are using R7s connection sockets, turning on and off infrared heating so frequently will damage the connection parts between R7s socket and our infrared lamp.
Case 2: There was one customer who switched on and off our twin tube IR lamps 3 times in 1 second, the operation is definitely not good to lamp, because heating elements cannot be restored and they will gradually produce volatile impurities.
Case 3: Customers use medium wave infrared heating lamp. They want to turn off the heating when no workpiece on the conveyor. When the workpiece needs to be heated, the heating is turned on. If they turn on and off frequently, for medium wave infrared lamp, we do not recommend the customer to do this. Because the response time of medium wave heating lamp takes 1-4 minutes. If the workpiece is heated at this time, the heating temperature of the workpiece may not reach the required temperature, which will affect production efficiency.
If you really need to turn on and off IR heating lamps frequently for researches, we can enhance the conductive components of the lamp to increase the working life of the lamp.
Different customers have different control ways during infrared heating. If the heating involves frequent startups, we more hope that you use PLC or our SCR to adjust power output percentage of the way to control. The important that our SCR power regulator can control the starting current from 0 to rated current and no more impact on our infrared heat lamps.
