240V 2000W 355MM Ceramic Reflector Quartz Heat Infrared Emitter Lamp 1. Principle of Quartz Infrared emitter lamps Quartz infrared emitter lamps utilize the high temperature generated by current passing through the filament to produce intense infrared radiation. These radiations have strong penetrating power, allowing them to directly heat the molecules inside the material. Infrared rays heat objects without direct contact, making the drying process faster. Compared to traditional heating methods (such as convection heating), infrared radiation directly transfers heat to both the surface and interior of the material, reducing energy loss and heat transfer time.         2. Advantages of Quartz Infrared emitter lamps Fast Heating and Energy Efficiency: Since infrared radiation directly heats the material, the transfer time is significantly shortened, reducing energy loss during the heating process. Additionally, infrared emitter lamps quickly reach the required temperature, eliminating the need for a preheating phase, thus improving production efficiency.   Uniform Heating: Quartz infrared emitter lamps provide even heat distribution across the entire conveyor width, ensuring that all products are exposed to the same level of heat, guaranteeing consistent heating for each product. This is crucial for improving drying quality and reducing product inconsistency. The flexible arrangement and design of the lamps allow operators to precisely control heat intensity and distribution, enabling fine-tuning of the drying process based on specific product needs.   Space Savings and Process Optimization: The compact design of quartz infrared emitter lamps allows for easy integration into various conveyor dryers, resulting in a more compact overall equipment design, which is easier to arrange and operate. Precise control of temperature and heat distribution also provides operators with flexible adjustment options to meet the needs of different products.

230V 2000W 945 3315B 3

  • Detail
  • Carbon medium wave infrared heating lamps are designed with special spiral carbon fiber heating filament, which are suitable for fast heating of surface or drying water and inks, and the range of IR radiation wave is 2.0-4.0μm. Because of its low color temperature and matched medium wave infrared radiation, carbon medium wave infrared lamps are widely used in industry screen printing for textiles, emulsion drying, tea drying, food and vegetables drying, civilian application like infrared heater for warming, heating stove and natural herbal medicine.

Twin tube carbon medium wave infrared heating lamp can be used for application which needs heating temperature from 40-400 ℃, especailly lower visiable lights requested. We have 23×11mm or 33×15mm double quartz tube for producing different length and different power. In order to better convey and focus on the heated material all the IR radiation emitted from the IR lamp, the special gold reflector or white ceramic reflector will be coated and fixed directly on the quartz surface.

Application of Quartz Infrared emitter in Leather Drying

Quartz infrared emitter has proven to be highly effective for drying leather, offering several distinct advantages over traditional methods. Here are the main characteristics and benefits of using high-efficiency infrared heaters for leather drying:

    1. Fast Drying Process

The use of high-efficiency infrared emitters significantly speeds up the drying process compared to conventional steam hot air convection and heat conduction dryers. Infrared emitter energy is transmitted directly to the leather surface without the need for an intermediate medium. Part of the emitter penetrates into the leather pores, with a penetration depth of up to 0.1 mm to 2.0 mm. The emitter within the capillary pores is almost entirely absorbed after multiple reflections by the pore walls, leading to very high heat transfer efficiency. For the same leather, drying with infrared emitter heaters greatly shortens the drying time.

    2. High-Quality Drying

The drying quality with quartz infrared emitter is excellent. Since both the surface layer and the inner layers of the leather absorb far-infrared emitter simultaneously, the drying process is uniform. This results in better physical properties of the leather post-drying and improved color quality. For example, in leather goods manufacturing, maintaining uniform drying is critical for ensuring the final product's quality and aesthetic appeal.

    3. Energy Efficiency

Quartz infrared emitter drying is more energy-efficient compared to other emitter and electric drying methods. It can save more than 50% of the energy typically consumed. Additionally, the infrared radiating elements in these dryers have a simple structure, resulting in smaller equipment size, easier operation, and enhanced safety.

    Considerations and Precautions

While high-efficiency infrared drying has many advantages, there are important considerations to keep in mind:

    1. Leather Area Shrinkage

When using infrared emitter to dry leather, significant shrinkage can occur. For grid leather, shrinkage can range from 20% to 30%, and for base leather, from 4% to 6%. Therefore, it is advisable to dry the leather in a constrained or fixed state to minimize shrinkage. This constraint can help maintain the desired dimensions and reduce deformation during the drying process.

    2. Heat Distribution

Infrared drying supplies much more heat to the leather and its moisture than steam methods, sometimes even dozens of times higher. The strong external heat source creates a large temperature difference between the leather surface and its interior. Consequently, quartz infrared heaters are most suitable for drying thin leather and for drying the leather surface after painting. This focused application ensures that the leather does not overheat or suffer from quality degradation due to uneven heat distribution.
