Quartz Infrared Heaters in Moisture Drying
Quartz infrared heaters are an efficient heating device that emits infrared radiation to directly heat the surface and interior of objects, without relying on ambient air temperature. The core principle is the use of infrared electromagnetic radiation to transfer energy in the form of light to the target object. This heating method has significant advantages in moisture drying applications, especially in industrial production where rapid and efficient drying is required.
Advantages of Quartz Infrared Heaters in Moisture Drying
Directional Heating: The infrared radiation is focused directly onto the target area, rather than heating the surrounding air. This directional heating improves energy efficiency and reduces unnecessary heat loss.
Efficient Drying: Infrared radiation directly acts on water molecules, increasing their kinetic energy and rapidly turning them into vapor. Compared to traditional hot air or steam heating, infrared heating achieves much faster drying times.
Applicable to Various Materials: Quartz infrared heat lamps can evenly heat different types of water-based materials. Whether it’s a smooth surface coating or a porous water-absorbing material, precise drying can be achieved.




In moisture drying, medium-wave infrared is particularly effective because its wavelength closely matches the vibration frequency of water molecules, enabling high absorption and rapid conversion of heat, thus accelerating the evaporation process. Medium wave quartz infrared heaters are particularly suitable for the fast heating of surface or thin materials, and the range of IR radiation wave is 2.2-4.0μm. Plastic, water and other solvents absorb well this medium wave radiation. Because of its long working life and economical efficiency, medium wave infrared quartz heater lamps are popular used in continuous heating processes and long heating machine or drying oven.

Textile and Paper Processing: In textile dyeing and paper production, removing moisture is a key step. Infrared heating can precisely control drying temperatures, avoiding material shrinkage or deformation while speeding up the production process.
