High Efficiency Short Wave IR Heaters Energy Saving For High Speed Blow Molding

Apr 05,2026

Blow molding machines are mainly suitable for the production of PET/PC/PP/PE plastic bottles and bottles of various shapes. They are widely used in the canning of carbonated drinks, mineral water, pesticides, cosmetics, wide - mouth bottles, as well as hot filling.

I. Pre - heating

The preforms are irradiated by high - temperature infrared heating lamps. The body part of the preforms is heated and softened. Short - wave infrared rays can quickly penetrate the PET preform material, and simultaneously heat the surface and the interior of the material evenly. Compared with traditional heating methods, the heating time can be reduced by about 30%, directly driving the overall speed of the production line to increase by more than 20%, which meets the production capacity requirements of high - speed blow molding production lines. The response speed is extremely fast, with a start - up response of less than 1 second. It can adjust the heating intensity synchronously with the rotation speed of the production line, with basically no heating waiting time, further improving the overall operation efficiency.

II. Blow molding

In this stage, the pre - heated preforms are placed into the prepared blow molds, and high - pressure air is injected into them to blow and stretch the preforms into the desired bottles. The strong penetration characteristic avoids the problems of local over - heating or cold spots in the preforms, making the overall softening of the bottle body uniform. After subsequent stretching and blow molding, the wall thickness of the bottles has higher consistency, and problems such as deformation and uneven wall thickness rarely occur. It supports precise power adjustment for heating different areas of the preforms. The temperature of the areas at the bottle mouth that do not need heating can be flexibly controlled, which not only maintains the strength of the bottle mouth but also avoids waste of ineffective heat.
