Carbon Medium Wave Quartz Infrared Heat emitters in Moisture Drying
Quartz infrared heat emitters are an efficient heating device that emits infrared radiation to directly heat the surface and interior of objects, without relying on ambient air temperature. The core principle is the use of infrared electromagnetic radiation to transfer energy in the form of light to the target object. This heating method has significant advantages in moisture drying applications, especially in industrial production where rapid and efficient drying is required.

Working Principle of Infrared Heating
Quartz infrared heat emitters operate by heating the heating element inside the quartz glass tube, generating infrared radiation. Depending on the wavelength of the infrared radiation, quartz infrared heat emitters are typically divided into short-wave, medium-wave, and long-wave types:
- Short-wave infrared (0.76-2 µm): Strong penetration, suitable for deep heating.
- Medium-wave and carbon medium wave infrared (2-4 µm): High absorption rate by water molecules, especially suitable for drying water-containing materials.
- Long-wave infrared (4-15 µm): Heat concentrated on the surface, suitable for surface drying or low-temperature heating.
In moisture drying, medium-wave and carbon medium wave infrared is particularly effective because its wavelength closely matches the vibration frequency of water molecules, enabling high absorption and rapid conversion of heat, thus accelerating the evaporation process.

Carbon medium wave infrared heating emitters are designed with special spiral carbon fiber heating filament, which are suitable for fast heating of surface or drying water and inks, and the range of IR radiation wave is 2.0-4.0μm. Because of its low color temperature and matched medium wave infrared radiation, carbon medium wave infrared emitters are widely used in industry screen printing for textiles, emulsion drying, tea drying, food and vegetables drying, civilian application like infrared heater for warming, heating stove and natural herbal medicine.
Twin tube carbon medium wave infrared heating emitter can be used for application which needs heating temperature from 40-400 ℃, especailly lower visiable lights requested. We have 23×11mm or 33×15mm double quartz tube for producing different length and different power. In order to better convey and focus on the heated material all the IR radiation emitted from the IR emitter, the special gold reflector or white ceramic reflector will be coated and fixed directly on the quartz surface.
We are customized IR emitters manufacturer and we can desing and produce carbon IR emitter for you in different heating types. If you need twin tube carbon medium wave quartz infrared emitter with other specifications, please contact us and we will check the following specifications with you within 4 working hours.

Applicable to Various Materials: Quartz infrared heat emitters can evenly heat different types of water-based materials. Whether it’s a smooth surface coating or a porous water-absorbing material, precise drying can be achieved.
Main Drying Applications:
- Industrial Paint and Coating Drying: In the automotive, shipbuilding, and machinery manufacturing industries, rapid curing of coatings and paints is crucial. Quartz infrared heat emitters can quickly evaporate the moisture in the coating, ensuring uniform and durable layers, preventing surface defects caused by moisture residue.
- Textile and Paper Processing: In textile dyeing and paper production, removing moisture is a key step. Infrared heating can precisely control drying temperatures, avoiding material shrinkage or deformation while speeding up the production process.
- Food Industry: In food dehydration and drying processes (such as drying fruits or producing powders), infrared heating helps retain nutrients while significantly improving drying efficiency.
- Construction Material Processing: For concrete, tiles, and other water-containing construction materials, rapid drying ensures stable physical properties during the construction process.
