E-DEN medium wave quartz infrared heating lamps operate mainly in the 2.2–4.0 μm infrared wavelength range. This wavelength range is well absorbed by moisture, plastics, coatings and many polymer-based materials, making medium wave infrared heating suitable for surface moisture and solvent drying, as well as heating and thermal processing of plastic films, polyester materials and glass. Because infrared radiation transfers energy directly to the heated material, medium wave infrared lamps are widely used in continuous production lines, tunnel ovens and industrial drying systems.

Depending on the heating process, the lamp can use either Fe-Cr alloy heating wire or Ni-Cr alloy heating wire. The Fe-Cr alloy heating element can reach a maximum filament temperature of approximately 1400°C, while the Ni-Cr alloy heating element can reach approximately 1000°C. The heating wire is manufactured in a spiral configuration, with a typical heating response time of approximately 60 seconds, making these lamps suitable for stable and continuous industrial heating processes.
