The advantages of using infrared heating lamps for plastics thermoforming include:

1. Faster heating times: Infrared heating lamps can heat plastics faster than traditional methods, the response time is 1-2 seconds to run full power with infrared energy, so the plastic films can be heated faster, 3-4mm thickness plastic film can be heated to 150-200 ℃ within 40 seconds. The traditional methods cannot achieve this heating temperature in a short time. 

 

2. More uniform heating: Infrared heating lamps can be distributed evenly on the top and under the heated materials, the seald ir lamps can always radiant stable infrared rays without outter affects, EDEN infrared lamps can provide more uniform heating than traditional methods, resulting in more consistent products.

 

3. Lower energy costs: Infrared heating lamps does not need intermediate medium to transfer heat, so there are not so much energy loss than traditional methods, quartz infrared lamps are more high efficency for industrial drying.

 

4. Safer: Infrared heating lamps are safer than traditional methods, as lamps does not produce any hazardous byproducts, especially greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide.

 

5. More precise: Infrared heating lamps can be turned on and off frequently than traditional heat methods, the output power can be controlled and adjusted from 0-rated power, so we can set up the stable and precise heating temperature for the heated objects. 

 

Fast response medium wave IR heat lamp can be switched on/off the same as shortwave IR heat lamps in a short time, and the range of IR radiation wave is 1.4-2.0μm. The especial fast medium wave ir heat lamp can heat the surface and thin layers quickly. Fast medium wave heat IR lamps can be made in single tube with sizes of 10mm, 11mm, 12mm, 14mm, 15mm, 19mm. The reflector designed lamps are special for directionally heated products and long lamps for long heated materials. 

Single tube fast medium wave infrared heating lamp can dry ink and coatings on the surface of objects in a short time. The heating filaments can be desinged and work in 1200~1800℃, so the FMW quartz IR lamps are widely used for fast heating application which needs heating temperature from 50~500℃.
