Carbon medium wave infrared heating lamps typically operate in the 2.0–4.0 μm infrared wavelength range. This wavelength range is well suited to applications involving moisture and other materials that absorb medium wave infrared radiation, allowing infrared energy to be efficiently transferred to the surface of the material.

E-DEN carbon medium wave infrared lamps use spiral carbon fiber heating filaments. Compared with straight carbon filament structures, the spiral filament has a different current path and thermal response characteristic. This makes them particularly suitable for continuously operating industrial drying equipment rather than applications requiring very frequent switching on and off.

Carbon medium wave quartz infrared heating lamps are widely used for glass heat treatment, paper and ink printing, textile and emulsion drying, rubber and latex product drying, food processing and agricultural product drying.
